Mayday Farm is located in Thetford Forest between Elveden and Brandon where there a number of tracks and trails along the Forestry Commission managed forest. Predominately conifer plantation with ancient pines, some broad-leaf areas and patches of rotational clear-fell areas. Choosing a clear-fell area as a viewing point will provide a good chance of seeing Goshawk. In recent years rarities have included Coue’s Arctic Redpoll and Parrot Crossbill. Although the site used to be a good location for Golden Pheasant the species has not been seen in recent years.

Bird species: (All year) Goshawk, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Siskin, Crossbill.  (Summer) Woodlark, Nightjar, Tree Pipit.

Directions: Along the B1106 between Elveden and Brandon, parking is along the track known as Shakers Road.
