The Suffolk Bird Report is published annually by the Suffolk Naturalists’ Society in co-operation with Suffolk Ornithologists’ Group. The report has a systematic list of the species seen within the county during the year and includes colour photos and ink drawings. It also has a selection of research articles, a ringing report and and a gazeteer of bird sites with grid references.
The latest Suffolk Bird Report – Suffolk Birds 2016 Vol.66 – has now been printed and will be available to purchase from Ipswich Museum for £12 or can be purchased online from The Suffolk Naturalists’ Society web site. The bird report includes, as usual, the systematic list for 2016 and but also includes articles on:
- Weather Report for 2016
- Review of scarce and rare birds in Suffolk in 2016
- The British List
- Lackford Lakes
- Finders reports: Purple Swamphen, Thayer’s Gull, Cliff Swallow, Forster’s Tern, Stejneger’s Stonechat
- Obituary: David Pearson
